Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s Achievement
The Grammy Awards are a pinnacle in the music industry, standing alongside the Oscars and Emmys as one of the most esteemed events globally. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor had the privilege of clinching the Best Music award for a video game. The talented composers behind this soundtrack, Stephen Barton, and Gordy Haab, were rightfully celebrated for their achievement.
Competing against formidable titles like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, God of War Ragnarok, Hogwarts Legacy, and Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical was no easy feat for this game. Notably, this was the second time the Grammys honored video games with an award.
Last year, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok took home the honor. The other nominees at that ceremony included Aliens: Fireteam Elite, Call of Duty: Vanguard, Marvel’s Guardians of The Galaxy, and Old World.
The Presence of Famous Artists
During the event, attendees were treated to the presence of music icons like Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Miley Cyrus, among others. It’s truly a delight to see gaming industry products being acknowledged at an event graced by such renowned artists.
In any case, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has received multiple nominations in similar categories in sound design and original music at the DICE Awards. This acclaimed work was nominated in four categories at other events such as the Golden Joystick Awards and in two categories at The Game Awards but did not win any.
