The juxtaposition of Barbie and Oppenheimer’s films has been recreated thanks to the efforts of one of Fortnite’s Creative Mode players named Squattingdog. By entering the island code 0347–5540–6538, you can experience the Barbenheimer map, which offers an incredible and strange combination of the shared world of Barbie and Oppenheimer.
Squattingdog isn’t limited to Barbie and Oppenheimer movies to create the Barbenheimer map. The famous Nuketown map from the Call of Duty series for this creation inspired these players. Barbenheimer Island is divided into two halves, each a tribute to the movie Barbie or Oppenheimer.
In one half of the Barbenheimer map, you can explore the world of Barbie with pink houses and various clothes. On the other hand, players face Oppenheimer’s harsh and desolate landscape, filled with soldiers and the threat of nuclear war.
The various tools of Fortnite Creative mode allow players to use their creativity best and create their dream and favorite maps. Barbenheimer Island is undoubtedly not the last example of these maps; we will see new ones.
Fortnite collaborates with Futurama animation
But the story does not end here. Fortnite recently announced that it will partner with Futurama, one of the most popular animation series. This collaboration will happen in the new update of the game and will invite players to the science-fictional and funny world of Futurama.
Futurama is an American animated science-fiction sitcom in the far future in the year 3000. The series has gained much fame because of its bitter and strange humor.
In the new Fortnite update, players can enjoy attractive astronaut costumes, changes in Mega City, and maybe even further and more powerful weapons. This collaboration will be a big event and could lead to some exciting and funny interactions between the different characters of these two worlds. For example, what if Philip J. Fry faces Kratos or Master Chief? Or if Bender becomes friends with John Wick or Travis Scott?
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s iconic character joins Fortnite in the new Terminator crossover event
Fortnite is set to have a crossover event with the Terminator franchise, featuring an Arnold Schwarzenegger skin.
The upcoming event will feature the renowned Model 101/T-800 character, but there is uncertainty regarding the availability of other crossover elements. Epic Games’ widely popular battle royale game is in its third season of Chapter 4, titled “Wilds.” The latest season witnessed the collapse of the island’s central area, uncovering an ancient jungle with concealed secrets.
It’s not the first time that Fortnite and Terminator have collaborated. In 2021, a crossover event featured T-800 and hero Sarah Connor as playable characters. The trailer showed Fortnite’s protagonist, Jonesy, teleporting into a scene from Terminator 2: Judgement Day to rescue Schwarzenegger’s Terminator from sinking into lava. Adding the new Terminator skin could have implications for the game’s story, or it may just be a cosmetic item in the shop. Players will likely need to purchase the skin, but they can also earn a free Galaxy Crossfade skin by competing in Fortnite’s upcoming Galaxy Cup 4.
Despite its immense popularity, Fortnite is encountering matchmaking and sign-in problems, causing annoyance among players and prompting developers to investigate the issue.
